What you get, and what happens if you leave.

Who these are between

Slatebook is the product; Flowspire Ltd is the company you contract with. These terms are between Flowspire Ltd (trading as Slatebook) and the company that subscribes, and they cover this website and the Slatebook service. If you accept them on behalf of a company, you are saying you may.

Your account

You are responsible for who you give access to and for what they do with it. Freelancers and clients are not users: they reach call sheets, offers, review links and invoices through unguessable links rather than accounts, and you decide who receives one.

One person belongs to one company. An accountant working for several production companies needs a login for each, which is a consequence of keeping each company’s data genuinely separate.

What it costs

• Priced per production, never per seat. Your freelancers, your clients and your accountant have access for free, on every plan, and adding them never changes the bill.
• The first production is free and needs no card.
• Annual is ten months of the monthly price. Billed in advance, in sterling, by card through Stripe.
• The meter is active productions — jobs neither closed nor cancelled. Finished work never counts against you.

Prices can change; a change never applies to a term you have already paid for, and you will be told before a renewal at a new price.

Cancelling, and running out

Cancel at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the term you have paid for. We do not refund part of a term.

If a subscription lapses, the account becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden — some of what is in there you are legally required to keep, and holding it hostage would be a poor way to be paid. Hitting the production cap is narrower still: it stops you starting the next production and leaves the running ones alone, because crew are booked on those.

Your data is yours

• Export on every plan, at any time. Productions, call sheets, crew contacts, kit records and financials as CSV, and every generated document as PDF. Not a retention lever we produce when you cancel.
• We do not take a percentage of what you invoice, we do not touch your invoicing, and we do not sell your rate data.
• We do not store your media. Slatebook holds records and links to wherever your rushes live.

You grant us only what we need to run the service for you: to store, process and transmit your data so the product works, and to send email on your behalf where you ask it to. What that looks like in practice is in the privacy notice.

What we ask of you

• Use it lawfully, and hold only data you are entitled to hold.
• Do not attempt to reach another company’s data, probe the isolation between tenants, or work around access controls.
• Do not resell or white-label the product without a House agreement — that is what the plan is for.

We may suspend an account that is doing one of those things, or that is putting other customers at risk, and we will tell you why.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will keep the service running with reasonable skill and care, keep the security measures described on the security page in place, and tell you about an incident that affects your data rather than waiting to be asked.

We do not promise the service is never unavailable. It is software, hosted on infrastructure we do not own, and there is no uptime guarantee in these terms — if you need one in writing, ask, and it can be part of a House agreement.

Except for the things the law does not let anyone exclude — death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud — our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business or lost data where it is a consequence of something outside our control.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will tell subscribers before the change takes effect. Carrying on using the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel and the term you have paid for runs out as normal.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
